Do your husbands (or significant others) read your blog?

I was just wondering. Mine does. At first he didn't get the whole thing. He was a little leary when I first started. He is kind of a private kind of guy and he wasn't sure that having all kinds of personal thoughts spread across the internet was such a good thing. But, then he started reading some of my entries and then he came back to me and said..."I get it now." Now, he checks in every so often to see what I have been mulling around in the back of my brain and actually gets a kick out of the whole thing. Even for someone who knows you so well, they still can be surprised and learn something new, from reading a blog and understanding the little things that are important to you. Also, it is just one more way for him to to delve into my very complex female brain and see what makes it tick! Good luck, honey!

My husband actually suggested that I start a blog, he thought I'd enjoy it. So he reads mine all the time. Sometimes he comments, but usually not. He's learned I'm not that interested in criticism or editorials on what I write. Poor guy!

My father-in-law also reads my blog, and sometimes recommends an entry here or there to my mother-in-law.

But the one I don't let read it is my mom. She'd just be critical or say I shouldn't print this or that. I don't need that. So she knows I have a blog, but that's it.

My boyfriend knows how much my blog means to me.. he uses it for his homepage. he was very supportive when i told him i started a blog. occassionally, he'll leave some comments on my blog. sometimes when we chat about things, he'll go, 'hey you can blog this.'

i agree that our blogs help our partners to understand us a little better.it's so different from when you're talking to your boyfriend somehow..putting it into writing seems to cast things into a different perspective.

My girlfriend doesn't really read mine, only very rarely. Sometimes I think this is good, other times I wish she was up on what I had posted about.

If they do read, it may be a good idea that they understand some blogger's tendancy to try and provide their readers with something more entertaining by embelishing certain aspects of their psyche, and speaking in a "different voice" somewhat than what the significant other may be used to.
